I am a musician and composer in the field of contemporary microtonal music, informed by Norwegian traditional music and experimental improvised music.
My main artistic interest has become audio-visual, so I am working towards an increased sensitivity to the sensual potential in subtle tonality changes. How does different tonalities influence what we see when we hear sound and what we hear when we see something?
I explore this by playing and writing music in different genres - both for ensembles and for films and other audio-visual projects. I play a lot of concerts (have performed in some 30 countries), and play on records issued by labels such as Motvind Records, Talik, Hubro, SOFA, Drag City and others.
